Ondoy

The commute from Katipunan to Taft was bearable. Taft to EGI Towers, though a shorter route, was the problem. I was stranded in McDo Taft. Two hours later, Papa entered McDo wearing shorts and slippers--pangbalay/pambahay, yup. He hired a pedicab to take us both to EGI Towers.

The pedicab ride was... interesting. And scary. Definitely scary. I had my laptop in my backpack, and I was praying that the pedicab wouldn't fall apart. I crouched on the seat. Big buses started to drive along the avenue, generating legit waves. Waves, I tell you. I was prepared to throw my backpack to the nearest island in case something bad happened. But we made it.

Spent Saturday night and Sunday morning with Papa. He left for Cebu this afternoon. Gorm and I rode the LRT home.

We decided to re-stock the fridge. Here's Rustan's Katipunan sans bread and noodles.

And that's Jericho Rosales. He bought a lot of stuff for relief goods, I think. Awful photo, but I kid you not. That's him.

Ondoy, we hate what you did and we will transcend you.

This is insane

When was the last time you were scared.

Rode a tricycle to Katipunan station and floodwater came rushing in. Driver had to push us to the nearest elevated curb. Gave him an extra five pesos. Being inside the LRT reminded me of perya haunted houses.

Am now stuck in Mc Donald's Taft with La Sallites.

Escape

I saw this sign-up sheet for Dumbledore's Army while walking to the Rizal Library in school. For a minute I thought I was finally insane (i.e. looming hell week = brain damage). I know this is the universe's wacky way of preparing me for October.

Dude, I am now in the E.A.C.
